I was born in Guwahati, Assam. My early years were spent moving between cities, since my father was in the administrative service and my mother was a professor. This frequent relocation meant I got to travel and experience different places. We settled in Guwahati for the later part of my schooling. After that, I moved to Delhi, where I completed my graduation in commerce. I was never very academic, but later completed my MBA. My professional journey began in the construction industry, where I worked for a few years. Around 1997 or 1998, I transitioned into public relations, joining Perfect Relations, which marked the beginning of my career in PR.
