The idea of this project came from a variety of ways. The first thought occurred to Sarika in 2019 wherein she wanted to get 20 leaders to pen a case study each, from which others will learn. That idea remained a work in progress and then things went haywire across the world because of the pandemic. Then in 2023, Amith co-authored a book that had commentary from some of the PR leaders.

We also realised that we were on a “giving back” spree. We had created Sparkle Gift Cards in 2023, and it was time to create something unique in 2024. Thus, the Project Light A Spark was born. While there could be grammatical doubts about the name as to how one can light a spark. You ignite a spark and light a fire we took the liberty of calling it this way.

We decided to have 24 of the 100+ professionals feature in a printed book which is in the process of being published. This will serve as a textbook for students, as a book of inspiration for professionals and a testimony of the great achievements these men and women have attained. This will be a continuous project with at least eight individuals profiled every month over a period of time.

This portal will feature Founders, CEOs and corporate communication leaders with an essay they have written on the future of Public Relations.

Pioneers – who founded firms or were part of the founding team in the 90s; Captains – are those who are not founders but have helmed firms in a steadfast manner; Frontrunners – are the the next generation of entrepreneurs who are building firms of the future; Guardians  – are those leaders who are in-house, leading corporate communications at large companies.

There could be some individuals that you feel should be featuring here but are not yet seen. Sorry to disappoint you on that.
